Week 1 - Daily Work Log:

Day 1:  Today the demo started.  The crew started by putting up plastic and taping off the work area.  They also helped us move a couple of pieces of furniture.  The actual demo was fairly straight forward.  They removed all of the appliances and the cabinets.

Day 2:  Demo continued.  Today all of the drywall was removed and the guest toilet was pulled out. 

Day 3:  Electrician was out to clean up / remove all of the old circuits. 

Day 4:  Electrician & plumber did their respective rough-in work.  Gas line was run for the new cook top.  Water line was run for the refrigerator.   

Day 5: Framing was started today.  This did not go as well as was planned.  With the ceiling opened up the crew found out that the existing joists / beams were smaller than what was called out in the plans.  Essentially this mean that the structural engineer & architect had to make some changes and quickly design new framing.  That

This is supposed to be a 9 week project.  Week One is devoted to pulling out the old kitchen and framing the new walls and support beam.
